Main Dishes

In traditional cultural and literature references, the main course is often the biggest dish in a multi-course meal that is served in a particular order. While this is still the case for many cuisines, modern dining calls for a different approach where dishes are often served together and in equal portions, especially in more casual settings and at large social events. We name these dishes as our mains not because of their size,  but because they are suitable as the focus of all dining occasions and enjoyable when shared among many people.
